Shout-out to the TAC

Writing a novel is such a long process it's important for my sanity to celebrate the small successes along the way: finishing a chapter, or a full draft, coming up with a title, or a good first line, or an ending. Another milestone is having the work recognized in some way and that's why I am SO happy and grateful to have received a Toronto Arts Council Grant this year. This grant feels like a nudge to keep on going, a sign that I'm heading in the right direction, and a reminder that there will be a finished book at the end.
