Truly Important, a CNF newsletter

For a long time, I’ve been wanting to create a newsletter to highlight the importance of telling true stories. After writing and teaching creative nonfiction (CNF) for many years, the value of doing this type of work is something I deeply believe in.

Truly Important provides a monthly dose of encouragement to remind writers of the excellent reasons for working in the creative nonfiction genre, despite its challenges. Each issue of the newsletter contains:

• a note from me about the benefits of writing personal nonfiction

• a short list of curated nonfiction opportunities (classes, contests, or submission calls)

• an introduction to the work of a fellow creative nonfiction writer
